The President of the United States, Joe Biden, is considered very firm and courageous in making a decision. He also seemed unconcerned with all threats and challenges that might have a negative impact on the interests of the state. Because he actually has an important role in the progress and prosperity of the US.
According to news circulating, Biden will change the cooperative relationship between Saudi Arabia and the United States which has been running normally for several years. That’s because the President saw the recent unstable condition.
As explained by Spokesperson for The White House, Jen Psaki, Biden will soon carry out open diplomacy with the King of Saudi Arabia, Salman bin Abdulaziz. Whereas previously, Donald Trump always involved the Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman (MbS) in organizing state projects. It is known that MBS is always able to handle all state affairs, even though it involves several other countries. In fact, MbS excels at resolving conflicts that extend from Qatar to other states.
“It would be a big mistake if Biden would immediately stop all processes of cooperation between the US and Saudi Arabia. Because previously they have had a very important role for the progress of the country,” Psaki said as reported by Reuters.
“More precisely, the President will straighten out all kinds of issues that have recently become news items throughout the country,” he added.

Khashoggi Murder Case
In recent years MbS has become known as the successor to the throne and the main de facto leader of Saudi Arabia. However, Biden did not look at this at all because of the murder of The Washington Post journalist, Jamal Khashoggi, which occurred in 2018. Ironically, until now there have been no signs of Khashoggi’s death. However, several media outlets have said that the journalist was killed at the hands of members of the Saudi Arabian military who incidentally is a son of MbS’s command. Psaki said that so far the Arabs needed a line of defense against the incident. No wonder Biden insisted on investigating the case immediately.
“Biden is very anti-terrorist and violent. He will soon meet King Salman to resolve the issue. Because he only wants to protect human rights even though the citizens are in other countries,” explained Psaki.
“Recently we have determined a plan to hold the meeting. Sooner or later the two will meet,” he said.
Carry out an Armed Forces Review
Biden recently insisted on a review of Saudi Arabia’s armed forces, which have recently been in conflict with Yemen. On the other hand, the President will explore the determination of members of the Houthi rebels in Yemen who are reportedly the founders and propagators of terrorism. It is known that Trump had designated the Houthis as the largest terrorist network last January. Saudi Arabia responded with open arms. Where they are involved in arms sales.
Psaki straightened that the decision would make it difficult for Biden to discuss with King Salman. Given the current situation is in a bad state. Moreover, the Arab borders are getting tighter day by day. “Biden has no other choice but to contact King Salman through alternative channels. Because both of them want to harmonize business fields that are still running intact,” said Psaki. “In those talks Biden will focus on the case of Khashoggi’s death until he finds out how it really happened,” he concluded.
